HOW DO I GET TO SHERWOOD
Sherwood stands on an alpine hillside overlooking Lake Wakatipu about halfway between Queenstown airport and the bustle of the CBD (3.9km from Queenstown CBD and 4km to the airport).
HOW ABOUT IF I'M DRIVING FROM THE AIRPORT?
Driving from the airport along Frankton Road towards the town centre turn right onto Goldfields Heights Drive. You will find the hotel entrance up the hill, approximately 100m on your left.
CAN I CATCH THE BUS?
With recent improvements to Queenstown’s public transports network, you can catch Bus #1 from the airport. Sherwood is located just above the Goldfield Heights Bus Stop. You can purchase a ‘GoCard’ from the airport (or on the bus with cash) which will allow you to travel anywhere on the Queenstown bus line for $2pp. Buses depart every fifteen minutes at peak times.
HOW MUCH IS A TAXI FROM THE AIRPORT
A taxi rank is located just outside the terminal when you exit the airport. We are located roughly 9mins from the airport (approximately $30NZD including airport charges). We recommend Green Cabs - please ask your driver for the 'Sherwood rate.'
WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT?
Check in time is at 3pm and out check out time is 10am. If you require an early check-in or late check-out email us at reservations@sherwoodqueenstown.nz - and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
WHERE CAN I PARK AT SHERWOOD?
Since we do not charge for parking at Sherwood, parking is un-allocated. We have plenty of parking on-site, a parking area above Sherwood, as well as additional parking on Goldfield Heights road.
DO YOU PROVIDE LUGGAGE STORAGE?
Yes, we have complimentary luggage storage for short term use. If you arriving prior to your check in time or checking out and don’t fly out until later, you are more than welcome to take advantage of this service. Please just bring your luggage to reception to be stored for a few hours whilst you go off and explore.
WILL YOU STORE LUGGAGE LONGER TERM IF WE ARE HIKING?
During the summer months, we have many hikers and trampers staying at Sherwood. We have limited luggage storage and therefore can only offer limited luggage storage for guests who are staying with Sherwood, either side of their hike. Please note, that we can only storage x1 small bag per person during the November - April busy hiking period. Luggage storage between stays needs to be pre-arranged - please touch base with our reservations team on reservations@sherwoodqueenstown.nz
ARE THE YOGA CLASSES AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS GUESTS?
Yes. Our yoga classes are available to anyone. You can find our timetable on the wellbeing section of this site. Please get yourself set up in the yoga studio 10mins prior to the class commencing. Mat, bolsters etc are supplied. Classes are $20pp.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT IS ON AT SHERWOOD DURING MY STAY?
The events section on our website covers all the upcoming gigs and workshops coming up at Sherwood.
DOES SHERWOOD PROVIDE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?
We no longer provide a shuttle service since Queenstown has improved its public transport system, ultimately making it possible to go in and out of town every 15mins for $2pp with a GoCard. We encourage our guests to make use of this great service.
