NATURAL COMFORTS
For the rooms at Sherwood we have sought natural comforts in their purest form, using inspiration found in art and culture, delicately balanced against the genetics of a mid-80’s motor-inn. Wherever possible we've used sustainable and recycled materials, but above all, we've sought to create a serene but homely space to enjoy a good night's sleep.

SUSTAINABLE CHOICES
Our rooms are simple, cosy and a little moody. You'll find commissioned local artwork and wall hangings, monogrammed blankets woven from fine New Zealand wools, recycled kilim rugs fashioned into cushions and natural wall-linings made from carbon negative cork. In the bathrooms, our own natural shampoos and body wash are created with the local scents of manuka honey and myrtle.

AMENITIES
We have taken a big breath of Queenstown and mixed it with a few things that we love to have around. Right now we have a freshly planted vegetable and herb garden with heirloom fruit and vegetables supplying our restaurant and bar. Our wellbeing studio offers daily yoga classes, along with a sauna, massage therapy and meditation to complement an extensive range of arts, culture and community programming.
We’ve also got a developing ski and bike workshop for those wanting to get into the wilderness and mountain bike hire close at hand. While for the industrious creative, our co-working and film production facilities are backed up by the speediest wireless internet access we can get our hands on.
Lightning fast free wifi
We have installed Queenstown’s fastest internet via our own dedicated dark-fibre connection, which is free for our guests. You have 5GB of free data per day per device and you will stay connected throughout the site.
Yoga studio, massage rooms and sauna
We offer a fully equipped yoga studio rooted in the humble origins of mindful living along with a sauna and massage room for those wanting a more gentle stroll along the path to wellbeing.
Ski & bike workshop
We've created a versatile workshop space equipped with benches, stands and tools to allow you to set-up a downhill bike for a few days riding or wax and sharpen your board's edges before hitting the snow. There's even a sweet boot drying room to make your frozen gear toasty for the next day's adventure. Use of the space and equipment is free for guests.
Co-working studio
For those wanting a dedicated workspace while you travel and like the idea of plugging to a ready made creative community we have dedicated desks in our co-working space for guest use.
Production office and boardroom facilities
For obvious reason's Queenstown is a great place to shoot film and content. We love people making stuff at Sherwood. It gives the place purpose. To this end we've kitted out a purpose designed production office for creatives and corporates to hunker down and get busy with AV capabilities at hand.
Bar & Restaurant
We're proud to house a great restaurant and bar, and can lay claim to being the only restaurant in Otago to hold Two Hats in the Cuisine Good Food Guide, while the bar plays host to a revolving roster of New Zealand's best original live music.
Kitchen garden
You are welcome to take a stroll in our kitchen garden, where a lot of our produce comes from. Our horticulturist Tim is always happy to have a chat about growing herbs and vegetables when you see him turning compost or tending to his precious plants rain or shine. It's amazing what we've learnt over the course of a garden chat with Mr Baker.
